How do I write a good reflection account for your NVQ?

Often, students asked me how do I write a reflective account? And my answer is that you need to know what a reflective account is before you can write good things. Many students sent a report to the NVQ evaluator and were disappointed when they said they had to re-write. Let me tell you what happened? You probably wrote your account without a guide, and so it took so long for your account to see that you did not meet many of the performance criteria the reviewer was looking for. So let me tell you what a reflective account is.

The reflective drawer usually describes how you have done some of your work in the past. It may be yesterday or a week, a month, or a year before the past. You may have dealt with a medical emergency, an abusive situation, or how you used a particular device in the past.

Your account will be a record of actual events. It has to be reflected in its writing style as it is not for someone else

. For example: I did this and then . NO is acceptable to write this would do because it does not prove that you did or did it.

If possible, write about why you took the action

For example: When I arrived at home, I put my gloves and apron in order to protect the service user and myself from the infections ….. [19659002] Using A, R, or any other alphabet instead of using actual names or addresses

Think of a typical working day or a day of the day, and write a story about how these activities were performed by units within the NVQ as a guide. Such can be:

There may be a number of other activities you need to include in your account.
