Checking your online presence

Stop it if I'm wrong, but your online reputation is one of the most important things to look after and seem to be one of the most frightening. Maybe it has given us great treatment for the company's online reputation; but as soon as you think there is another website or trend to catch up. And if you're not a tech-savvy person who keeps track of this, how do you keep your hands?

First of all, we can talk about why it is important to have a complete check of your online reputation be it the car dealer, restaurant, chiropractor, public speaker.

When I went to a local Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep store, which has been in my hometown for decades, I was honestly quite uncertain. The reason for this was that the store had no good reputation offline, much less online. Maybe this is an underestimation … they had a TERRIBLE reputation. Regardless of whether you know it or not, online reputation is often an offline perception. We often do not know that it is offline because the offline community (our potential client base) is talking behind us. Let's be honest: any company that deals with the public, no matter how big the company is, deserves or deserves a flack of everyday trivial things. BBB has been doing business for a long time in this philosophy to get rid of consumers somewhere. Consumers only have more opportunities to go in the digital age where we live today – right, wrong, or other. And release it!

After an interview at the aforementioned department store, I realized they had great enthusiastic clients, including a local TV station, a hospital, and other businesses. Even in these relationships, he still got a really terrible reputation. Why? Because nobody succeeded. Their online and offline reputation from BBB to industry-specific review sites and even from Google was not controlled. It had a big impact on sales. Checking your online presence and reputation is a free way to increase sales over the long term. But it won't happen overnight.

So here we managed to control our online presence easily and in a few months we completely reversed it:

1. Make a plan and do it in writing. We decided who directed what kind of damage control action plan was. Even if the guy who was in control of the online reviews had to have another manager before the response, there was a plan to react quickly. There is too much thought that the owner can observe everything. This delegates this responsibility to one or more managers to respond quickly. We had a guy for online reputation and another for checking offline reputation.

2nd Get information to everyone It's actually the simplest part of your online reputation. Most online review sites allow you to assume ownership of the review page, so you can be notified at any time if something changes. Make sure that decision makers instantly copy these alerts, and will give the process a lot of urgency. And when changes or communication happen, the decision makers again know what's going on. The worst thing that can happen is the owner receives a call and is not prepared for it.

3rd Find yourself online Just go to Google and find your company, you might be very surprised at what you find! I know what we were because the first page of the results contained nine links to the bad rating or competition, while only one was on our website. So, if people are looking for us online, we didn't make a good first impression. Google also has "alerts" that can be sent directly to you as soon as a new result appears on your behalf, which is also a big part of it. Let's redirect someone to handle this every day and everyone if something important comes up. Alerts are very simple to install and modify.

But don't just limit yourself to Google! Search everywhere people can talk about you – online blogs, news sources, forums, social media sites, etc. our online presence and reputation. If it seems too scary or you can't find Google's first page of result management, you might want to add a reputation manager to help you do this fine tuning as we do.

4th Be proactive! The most important thing is to actively involve your online presence. This has traditionally been done with TV and radio ads that work well. But the nice thing is that you can make a wider network for cheaper online use. It can be easily done with free video marketing, SEO or paid search ads. I'm not telling you to rinse the traditional methods, because we've made full use of the TV and worked. But nowadays you have to think outside the box to work. And most importantly, use the online community who speaks favorably. Creating a mysterious fan base is much easier than a typical thinker. Things like video recommendations, online reviews, and sharing social media will shine your business as before.

If you take your online presence seriously, the changes happen quickly. But it will take time and we will accompany you to work. Do not give up! And if you ever need help, feel free to reach me.
